It may have felt like we have been waiting forever but WALL-E has finally landed in the Southern Hemisphere and we are set to join the rest of the world in falling deeply in love with the little robot.

WALL-E went straight to 97% on the Tomatometer and has been charming critics and movie fans alike since its US release.

RT Australia had the opportunity to sit down and speak to director and screenwriter, Andrew Stanton (Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Ratatouille) and sound designer extraordinaire, Ben Burtt (Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark). Between them, these two men have been responsible for some of the most loved creations in cinematic history including R2-D2, Nemo, Buzz Lightyear and Indiana Jones' crack of the whip. RT spoke to them about every step of the process from smashing shopping trolleys down at the shops to long debates about elbows.

Andrew Stanton talks about putting the heart in WALL-E
