War Hunt (1962)
This standard wartime, psychological drama set during the Korean War is mainly distinguished by the earliest silver-screen appearance of matinee idol and later founder of the Sundance Film Festival, Robert Redford himself. Other soon-to-be notable names are also in the cast. Private Raymond Endore (John Saxon) is a soldier demented by blood lust who takes off on lone sniper forays behind enemy lines even after cease-fire orders have been given. His behavior preys on the conscience of the other men in his troop, especially Private Roy Loomis (Redford).
