Getting impatient to see Watchmen? How about Hellboy II: The Golden Army?

If you answered "yes" to either of those questions, we've got good news for you: Both films' official sites have been updated, and more behind-the-scenes information is just a couple of clicks away!

Over at HellboyMovie, Guillermo del Toro has unveiled "the latest concept art" from artist Francisco Ruiz Velasco. Want to get an early look at the Golden Army storage facility? The Berserker? A day in the life at the Troll Market? Head on down to the link below, and feast your eyes on the images (and background information from del Toro)!

There isn't any concept art at the Watchmen site, but you can get a look at a few photos taken at the production office's "War Room," including walls covered with "set concepts, location photos, concepts for props, costumes, vehicles and even product logos." You can't really get a clear look at anything you'll see in the film, but not worry -- Zack Snyder promises more is on the way:

all i really want to see from watchmen is nite owl II and ozymandias. the rest of the characters are pretty easy to imagine on screen, but ozy with his purple and gold gaudiness and nite owl with his cutesy costume need a little revamp. but the level of detail they apparently have going sounds good.

hellboy was pretty entertaining but a little cheesy, and is my least favorite guillermo del toro movie, so lets hope he takes it up a notch

Hard not to be encouraged just by what you see hanging on the walls in the Watchmen meeting.

Vivid, bold color and a lot of lines like Gibbons' artwork. In one of the pictures you can make out the sketches for the main characters behind Snyder's head.

Niteowl II looks very Batman, not quite as (deliberately) goofy as he does in the comics. Not sure who it is in the middle. Hooded Justice perhaps?

My fears for this movie aren't that Snyder can beautifully adapt the visuals of the comic (300 was proof of that.) But that he can effectively fit the story and all its vital niches into an (at best) 140 minute movie.

Frank Miller deserves some blame for 300's underwhelming effect. His story-telling style can get tedious, especially when only one or two characters get to narrate. Batman: Year One, for example, while a good story and a huge influence on Batman Begins, was tiresome in part because there just wasn't the kind of whacky characters and bizarre situations that populate his best work like Dark Knight Returns and Sin City.

Alan Moore has never had that problem, thank god.

Obviously I'm looking forward to how The Comedian is going to look.

I fully trust Del Toro to make an entertaining movie.

I'm seriously worried about Watchmen. From what I've heard about it so far I don't think they've got the message quite intact.

I'm very excited for Hellboy 2 though. I thought the first one was great and the best of Del Toro's American movies. And from a set and artistic design standpoint it looks like this one may top the first. I can't wait.

well i've heard good things about the progress on Watchmen. Warner Bros. is so pleased with what they've seen so far that they're giving Snyder more money so he can do the Tales of the Black Freighter story-within-a-story that wasn't going to be in the final film. it probably won't be in the theatrical cut, but it'll definitely be on the DVD.

Snarebeast, the problem is that the message of Watchmen is that the Cold War isn't winnable. As much as I love the book, there's no denying that its politics got choked in the dust of the Soviet Union's collapse. I'm still curious to see how that affects the movie.

I'd disagree, the overall message of Watchmen is deliberately ambiguous. Those issues are raised, and the twist, in my opinion, is more a message about how war itself is the enemy.

But that, I think, is why Watchmen has so much resonance. It is so wonderfully open to the interpretation of the reader.

Snyder has said he has refused to 'update' the movie from the Cold War to the War on Terror a la V for Vendetta. Preferring instead to let people make those comparisons for themselves. That was byfar the most encouraging thing I'd heard from him.

Now only if Heroes hadn't bleeping ripped off the story for their Season One plot device...
