The Tolkien Trust is suing New Line, Fox is suing Warner Bros. over Watchmen, The Passion of the Christ screenwriter is suing Mel Gibson, and Nicolas Cage is courting Kathleen Turner. As for the Passion: Plenty of written history that suggests this is the way that prisoners were tortured and that this particular prisoner was tortured. As stated, definitely not for everyone. Its easy to marginalize the film and those that saw and liked it. Clearly its impact will have a lasting effect on many - including Hollywood.
