There is also that Sam Raimi film that i can never remember it's name, very early effort, i think it came out after his success with The Evil Dead....

That's one bad list, dude? though I do appreciate the fact that you've got some great 70's and 80's comedies in there, but all in all, too many dumb movies for my taste.
My favourite film that can actually be considered a comedy is Tootsie starring Dustin Hoffman and Jessica Lange. However, that one's still pretty dramatic. Then there are the slapstick movies, my favorites being Airplane!, Naked Gun, Ace Ventura 2 and Spend a Night in Casablanca (where I also appreciate you adding some Marx and Chaplin in there).
Other than Tootsie, there are a few comedies that I love that aren't exactly hilarious. Silver Linings Playbook, for instance, or One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (which isn't exactly a comedy, but still really funny). There are some other great ones like Shaun of the Dead (never seen Hot Fuzz), and any great Woody Allen movie, including Scoop and the Purple Rose of Cairo. School of Rock is a hilarious comedy as well.
Lastly, the funniest movie I've ever seen was Die Hard, where the gags are absolutely gut-clenchingly funny. "This IS Christmas Music", "If this is what Christmas is like here, I gotta be here for New Year's", "Come out to the coast, we'll get together, have a few laughs!" to name a few...

Anchorman is probably in my top 5 too I hope the sequel is almost as good and they don't ruin it like the Hangover sequels.
Aug 5 - 08:00 PM
Midnight Run and South Park Bigger Longer and Uncut would be on mine also.

Superbad is definitely, DEFINITELY better than Billy Madison. And Dumb and Dumber. Also, Office Space is better than the four above it (except mayyyyybe Anchorman. Meh, no, Office Space is better.).
Alas, these are just my opinions I suppose.
