When the Cat's Away is a gentle French comedy that explores the problems and anxieties of contemporary urbanites. A charming French import with lots of heart.
Sort of a French 'Dude, Where's My Cat?' ...
An irresistibly charming French film about the magical and charming ways in which community is created in large cities.
Without Djamel and Mme Renee, I think this movie would not have been nearly as good. It wasn't bad, but personally I don't see what all the fuss is about.
