Based on the novel by Harold Robbins, comes this family drama from director Edward Dmytryk. Too bad this exploitative film couldn't have starred Lana.
Very melodramatic, but any film with both Susan Hayward and Bette Davis is a must to be viewed, and they are both a joy to watch. Good story, loosely based on the real life incident involving Lana Turner and her daughter.
