Where the North Begins was one of a quartet of 45-minute adventure yarns produced by the Screen Guild in the late 1940s. All four films starred Russell Hayden as Canadian Mountie "Lucky" Sanderson, and all four had nearly identical supporting casts. This time around, Lucky and an undercover officer (Steve Bailey) try to put an end to the smuggling activities of the villain (Tristam Coffin).
