This collection focuses on the darker side of clowns and funhouse mirrors with a trio of carnival-themed horror classics: in the sublimely atmospheric CARNIVAL OF SOULS (1962), a young woman survives a car crash only to be stalked by a distinctly eerie and hollow-faced man luring her to an abandoned amusement park; in the campy FUNLAND (1989), an emotionally unstable carnival employee (David L. Lander, aka "Squiggy" from LAVERNE & SHIRLEY) goes on a murderous rampage after he loses his job to a circus clown; and in the German expressionist masterpiece THE CABINET OF DR. CALIGARI (1919), a fairground showman hypnotizes an innocent villager and turns him into a sleepwalking zombie in order to carry out fiendish murders. [More]
