Wild Hogs Reviews
April 6, 2013
You know what? To hell with the critics. I laughed a lot with 'Wild Hogs'. I don't think critics understand, or know how to have a bit of fun, the whole point is that these 4 old guys are on these bikes. Just picture it, 4 middle aged guys on a road trip! The comedy just writes itself, and for the most part it succeeds, the majority of the jokes had me laughing, I'm not a big fan of slapstick but even some of those jokes did have me laughing, which was a surprise. The cast play very well off of each other and they all have their little stereotype they're in and it works. Speaking of characters, they all had a welcome amount of development over the course of the film and all had a resounding conclusion, with the exception of Woody, his character didn't have much of a conclusion, if any. It was professionally shot because the film looks very clear and very detailed and the colors are rich with life and it looks beautiful even on DVD. Bottom line, it is a comedy, did I laugh? Yes. So it works as a comedy. It's one of those films you can just sit down with, enjoy and not have to think about it. Just be entertained. I bought this on DVD and I can see myself watching it again... in the not-to-distant-future.

What an incredibly sad waste of talent from an ensemble cast of well known actors who should have known better.

With something like Wild Hogs, it's hard to decide what kind of audience it's aiming for. It's unfunny thanks to all of the bad jokes.

an interesting mix of actors keeps the movie entertaining and watchable but it isn't anything we haven't seen before.

When a group of middle-aged friends become bored with their daily lives, they decide to hop on their motorcycles and head out on a cross-country road trip without any plans. As you could easily predict, everything goes wrong and the group finds themselves in some pretty serious trouble with a real biker-gang.
The concept here is nothing special, but with an all-star cast like this you think it would at least be decent. The script is absolutely horrendous, featuring a variety of flat jokes and downright cringe-worthy moments. Throughout the hour and 40 minutes, I literally chuckled only one time. Martin Lawrence and Ray Liotta are the only bright spots here, while John Travolta is completely excruciating to watch. I've seen a lot of awful films and I can easily say this is right up there with the worst. There is honestly nothing rewarding about this movie and it should be avoided like the plague. 1 star.
With a cast that features Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence, William H. Macy and the great Ray Liotta, you would expect "Wild Hogs" to be a fantastic film. Unfortunately, it is absolutely terrible.

Are the ideas really this bad. How many good scripts were rejected in favour of this.

Wild Hogs is a decent film. It is about a group of suburban biker wannabes looking for adventure by hitting the open road. John Travolta and Tim give good performances. The script is okay but drags in some places. Walt Becker did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture of the comedy and adventure.
