This movie deserves respect for maintaining its connections with the past -- the characters haven't been razzle-dazzled over the years, and the world of the 100-acre wood is as it's always been.

When Tigger doesn't appear to want to help the gang build a home for Eeyore, the donkey, Rabbit suggests he leave them behind and spend some time with other "tiggers." Convinced that he's the only Tigger in the world, he goes on a quest to find out if he is, in fact, an original, eventually learning a very valuable lesson in the process: there's no place like home. Featuring songs by the Sherman Brothers (MARY POPPINS, THE JUNGLE BOOK). Both the VHS and DVD releases include a special music video by Kenny Loggins. [More]

Reviews for Winnie the Pooh - The Tigger Movie
The dialogue is kid-level funny and the animation often has the manic energy of Alice in Wonderland.
It's a warm, comfortable, thoroughly inoffensive kid film that manages to tack on a few broad moral lessons as well.
The Tigger Movie is an entertaining, modernized rendition of this nostalgic favorite that is sure to end up a classic.
One of the movie's strengths is the score by Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman.
The film's message is so refreshingly sweet and honest, you can't help but feel good about yourself as you walk out of the theater.
The movie is so refreshingly subtle and sweet compared to other recent Disney features.
Even at a brief 77 minutes, we're left feeling the story and its characters have been stretched too thin.
It's not just the pacing. The Tigger Movie just doesn't show a lot of imagination.
Kids will find their attention wandering after the first 10 minutes and will be better off sticking with the classic, original tale.
Everyone knows that tiggers are wonderful things, and the bouncy striped feline is more than wonderful in this delightful 2000 animated feature.
A conflicted entertainment, compromised by trying too hard to impress the restless, self-referential adults in the audience.
