When Tigger doesn't appear to want to help the gang build a home for Eeyore, the donkey, Rabbit suggests he leave them behind and spend some time with other "tiggers." Convinced that he's the only Tigger in the world, he goes on a quest to find out if he is, in fact, an original, eventually learning a very valuable lesson in the process: there's no place like home. Featuring songs by the Sherman Brothers (MARY POPPINS, THE JUNGLE BOOK). Both the VHS and DVD releases include a special music video by Kenny Loggins. [More]

Reviews for Winnie the Pooh - The Tigger Movie
Kids will find their attention wandering after the first 10 minutes and will be better off sticking with the classic, original tale.
The songs seem to have been written over lunch at the Disney cafeteria.
This movie deserves respect for maintaining its connections with the past -- the characters haven't been razzle-dazzled over the years, and the world of the 100-acre wood is as it's always been.
Parents and older siblings, however, may grow impatient with the uneven execution that weakens the genuine charm the film sporadically exhibits.
The Tigger Movie is simple, endearing entertainment for the little ones.
The film's theme boils down to platitudes about how we're all part of the same family-a worthwhile message, but one that will sail over the heads of a large part of the target audience.
This Tigger outing feels more like an overblown TV special than a grand theatrical release.
The Tigger Movie is an entertaining, modernized rendition of this nostalgic favorite that is sure to end up a classic.
The dialogue is kid-level funny and the animation often has the manic energy of Alice in Wonderland.
Most of the Sherman brothers' songs feel like material tacked on to sell a 'Sing-A-Long' album and are quickly forgotten.
In spite of its shortcomings, children love these characters and will enjoy Tigger.
My 4-year-old niece Rachael (who, for the record, loved the movie, as did her 6-year-old sister Megan and 2-year-old sister Emily) astutely compared 'Tigger' to 'The Last Unicorn,' one of her personal favorites...
While Jun Falkenstein's film unabashedly aims for the heart, its winning simplicity and freshness save it from sentimentality.
The film's message is so refreshingly sweet and honest, you can't help but feel good about yourself as you walk out of the theater.
