New Shots of Jackman and Schreiber on the Wolverine Set!
Apparently, they both enjoy apples.

Now that X-Men Origins: Wolverine is filming, it won't be long before we can have a look at Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber, and the rest of the cast in action. And by "won't be long," we mean "right now."

Just Jared has published a whole gallery full of shots from the set in Sydney, Australia, including our first glimpse of Schreiber's Sabretooth nails.

Not every picture is worth writing home about -- heck, there are over 40 in all, and the site's description of the gallery includes the phrase "both Hugh and Liev were seen eating apples from craft services" -- but if you're counting down the days until Wolverine's May 2009 debut, you'll want to follow the link below without delay!

Anyone with a little imagination or foresight can see it, Schreiber's looking the part. But baby, do somethin' 'bout that gut.

Heh, yeah, I don't think Schreiber has quite the same workout plan as Jackman for his role.

Talk about a boring set of shots.

Yikes, that's quite the beer gut.

maybe they should put Schreiber on the 300 work out plan.

Meaning they'll cinch his gut in through post-production?

Middle Picture Line 1.

Errr... Lieve needs a support bra. . .

Maybe it'll be a comedy? Sabretooth can constantly run out of breath.

Maybe the whole thing is a south park rip-off of Liev being Cartman..

It could Work! All we need is McG or Uwe Boll to direct.

haha...d3mn you guys are mean, and thats bad comin' from me. maybe he's trying to get into the whole "baby bump" craze thats caught hollywood...somebody should tell him men can't have kids though. this is going to be kinda hard to watch with him being Sabretooth. to me...the only REAL role i've ever seen him be in was in the Scream movies. he'll always be Cotton Weiry...

Perhaps they are going for a dirtier, uglier sabertooth. Maybe he should look over weight and disheveled for what the director has in mind.

then again, maybe lieve is lazy, who knows.

In the 17th shot it looks like he has man boobs.

holy jeze. forget fan support, shreiber needs some for his chesticles. get this guy a Manziere, or at least a Bro. the best shot is of him keeled over with his hands on his knees, still trying to smoke a cigarette. haha.

this is almost as bad as val kilmer's recent "transformation." an apple a day may keep the doctor away, but apparently not the unsightly paunch and bosom.

I never thought Schreiber could pull off Sabretooth but these pics seem to justify that he can play the part.

Meh, evil manbeast villains shouldn't look like Chip n' Dales. It's part of what I liked about Spidey 2. Epic BO wouldn't be out of line, either.

Sabretooth is big and burly, not lean and athletic. Look at Leiv's arms: they're huge. I think he's looking good.

Ha-Ha. Well, these pice neither make nor break it for me. Liev's a good actor, and he should be able to give old Sabertooth some much-needed depth.
I do like the moob (man-boob) comments, though! Maybe they're adamantium!

Those pic's were cool good to see what is going on behind the FX department and it seems that they are enjoying what they are doing.. So that means a better movie for all of us...

Big and burly, sure. But not like an ex-fighter who spends his days on the couch drinking beers and reminiscing the golden days. I agree, Leiv is looking the part, but the beer belly's gotta go.

two things: cocaine is a hell of a drug Leiv and special effects can make anyone look thin and buff look at Venom in Spiderman 3 hopefully he will go with one of these
