I don't actually like zombie movies I thought this might be unique.
I heard some giggles over the close-up one outside the disease lab at the end, but it was just a messed up guy. I think that worked better than cool, rockstar zombies. "I am Legend" had a few of those. Tough guy zombies in leather. Right.
I liked WWZ better than the generic "shoot zombies/lame wisecracks" formulas like Syfy would imitate. They're just a variation of slasher films.
Being injured didn't seem to stop these zombies.

Oh, and the way a mass of zombies functions as a fluid. Even in the trailers this made me shake my head. A crowd of people running up against a bus will not knock over the bus, the people will get crushed and trampled. Also, people can't climb walls like army ants. Trying to climb on each other will just break the bones of the ones at the bottom and collapse the whole thing.
The sheer lack of realism at all levels sucked me out of this movie. It could have been really scary, so why all the silly crap?

I know I laughed and rolled my eyes at how silly they were.

There were moments of giggles in our screening too. Particularly when zombies had their close ups ie, wall headbanging and teeth chattering.
