I disagree. I found the nostalgia to be part of the allure to the setting. I felt the character interaction was fun, the story had more going on with it than initially advertised, and there's some good growth and relations forged there. All in all I could watch that quite a few more times without tiring of it. It's a healthy thing to have a movie make you feel excited like a kid again.
