It is an eight out of ten at best. There are plenty of great things about it, but there are also a lot of problems. on Jul 21 2008 09:49 AM Brad, it isn't really going to matter whether or not there is a "better" movie out there it won't do well following TDK. Now one thing, "better" is a highly subjective word. I liked TDK and no doubt will like XF's new flick being I was a "Fan Boy" of the show too. But thinking that is reason enough to call fans of TDK hive-minded is bull too. You failed your own test. That said: There are problems with The Dark Knight, but if "I Want to Believe" is anything like "Fight the Future", there's no way it'll top TDK. That it happens to be a good film also is incidental.Expect a lot more of this type of review because I've only heard similar reports from the junket. on Jul 21 2008 12:36 PM I'll always root for the underdog. TDK was cool, but nowhere near movie of the year status. It dragged too much, had too many clumsy padded scenes. X-Files, like most of the ignored sleepers this year, will have all the heart it needs to be the better film, certaintly better than the #1 rated. (Reply to this) |
