It looks and feels like? What is a Cold War-Era B movie? Do you like to invent genres?
Jul 2 - 01:18 PM
He's not inventing genres. A Cold War/post-classical era movie is a movie that was made in the 1950s. If you were familiar with the unique feel and quality of movies in that decade then you'd understand what he's describing. It's like if I said silent era movie. It would give you an idea of what kind of movie I'm talking about, but you wouldn't know if it was horror, comedy, or whatever. And I'm sure you know what a cheesy B-movie is. 20th Century Fox are infamous for making them lol.

Sir, please watch this movie again and try not to bring your past life experiences into your review. Thank you! Unsatisfied Phineas.

Finally Marvel gets it right! This movie is a knock out! Why couldn't marvel do this for captain america?
Jul 23 - 11:55 PM
This was Fox, not Marvel.
Sep 4 - 08:57 AM
Fox and Marvel Ent. So, you're both right.
Sep 21 - 08:11 PM
I'm with you David. This movie was a train wreck of missed opportunities and hit and miss actors. And plot holes. Its like the sreenwriter and director decided to do an X-men movie without watching the previous movies first.
Or am I just a stickler for movies making sense in their own timelines?
Jul 26 - 11:26 PM
To Thomas E. the writers did not care for the other movies because this is more of a re-boot than a prequel to those movies. Yes some people would counter-act that because logan (hugh jackman) came in as a cameo, but that is just it, he was just a cameo and nothing else, although that part was hilarious.
It was more true to the comic series than the other movies were. By far the acting was much better (especially kevin bacon, michael fassbender, and james mcavoy) It was superb.
Now if you are trying to compare this to the events of your own life back in the cold war whether it as traumatic or not... stop.... no one cares...

You call that a review? Did you text it in from your smart phone while you were waiting for your milkshake in the McDonald's drive-thru? What a laughable excuse for criticism.
Aug 11 - 04:03 AM
All of these short one-lined reviews are larger ones in a nutshell. Instead of insulting him, why not merely disagree, as all humans have different perceptions surrounding art and it's subtleties.
Dec 21 - 05:58 PM
That is a pathetic review! ... The acting and effects alone are thee exact opposite of what a B Movie is made up of!..idiot!
Aug 25 - 04:31 AM
That's what the 12 year old kid who skipped school to see Transformers said.
Dec 21 - 06:02 PM
Actually I found some of the effects in this film pretty weak. Other than that, the story and acting is top notch.
Aug 11 - 11:53 AM
Can't take your word for this. You should be stripped of your top critic star.
Sep 5 - 12:15 AM
Firstly, what the hell is a Cold War B-movie? Secondly, this movie was totally awesome! You're one of those condescending hacks that can't enjoy a movie unless it's in black and white, in subtitles, or is about people with disabilities or the Holocaust. Screw you.
Sep 5 - 03:52 PM
By far the funniest case of downs I've ever seen in my life.
Mar 4 - 01:42 PM
what's wrong with that?
Sep 6 - 06:05 PM
wtf?? what other cold war era B mives are there
Sep 10 - 05:52 PM
Are you serious? There are a LOT of B-movies from that era. Too many. That's when things like mutants, zombies, aliens, robots, things like that became popular. It's also the era when filmmakers like Roger Corman first appeared on the scene, and he's like the master of classic B-movies. And it's the era when B-movies finally realized how bad they are and filmmakers started not caring and just having fun with it. You obviously know nothing about the history of film.
Sep 11 - 02:19 AM
Them!, Attack of the 50 Foot Woman, The Red Menace, the Beast From 20,000 Fathoms, The Blob etc. He's not making shit up.
Mar 4 - 01:54 PM
I couldn't agree with you anymore. This movie sucked ass. I don't see what people seen in this movie. The action scenes were terrible. I had a better time watching the first xmen film. Very much overrated and cheesy

Like most critics worthless person's opinion is worthless. A movie getting a bad review from people like you typically means it will be good.
