Peter is probably going to play Modok.

I forgot about Modok! He'd be perfect flying around with the giant head and tiny body!! Good one!!

i can definitely see that. haha you called it.

They don't own the rights to Modok so I doubt it. I'm pretty sure he's just going to play the guy who created the sentinels

Devir Carrera

Devir Carrera

and MODOK isn't a really a X-Men villain anyways

You mean that big guy from Avengers Alliance? Ughh...... that could just work.

Think the Imp will play Gateway, it makes sense in a movie that's going to involve time travel.

Feb 15 - 06:53 PM

Arif Baseer

Arif Baseer

naw i dont think so. He looks nothing like gateway.

Feb 16 - 02:00 AM

Bigbrother

Big Brother

He could with make-up though. I know Gateway is an aborigine, but I've never seen that as integral to his character. If you can have a black Heimdall and Nick Fury why not a little person Gateway.

Oh god, Tyrion Lannister is going to set Shagga and Bronn on the X-men.

I'm intrigued by Tomorrowland. It sortof sounds like another Prometheus.

As for Dodge and Twist, they're gonna screw up the whole legacy of Oliver Twist.

Feb 15 - 07:30 PM

Bigbrother

Big Brother

I don't know, I think a less family friendly/less musical Oliver Twist could be cool.

Feb 15 - 09:03 PM

Typhon

Typhon Q

Yeah but the thing about Oliver Twist is that hes a kid and changing him into a 20 year old would change his character completely.

Feb 16 - 10:23 AM

Bigbrother

Big Brother

Again, I don't think that in itself is necessarily a bad idea. Sometimes it's fun to "continue the story" beyond where the classic ended. Bruce Wayne was arguably at his best in The Dark Knight Returns and Batman Beyond as an old man. Young Indiana Jones was a cool show I thought and in closing two words...muppet babies :)

Linda Burke

If you haven't seen it, you should check out the 1948 version of Oliver Twist. Very dark and brutal. Not really for kids. Great movie, though.

Feb 16 - 04:22 PM

Typhon

Typhon Q

I'm fine with that one. I'd be ok with having a darker version of Oliver Twist. The thing that is annoying me is them trying to make the guy like 30 years old instead of being a kid.

Dinklage is a PIMP and I am so happy to see him find success. A true actor. I know several fine ladies who find him very attractive. He's the definition of how you look doesn't matter, that confidence is key, and that suave is an equal opportunity trait.

As for everything else, all that matters is that Jennifer Lawrence pic. Damn she's beautiful. I think she would totally do Dinklage..... ;)

Feb 15 - 08:52 PM

Bigbrother

Big Brother

She couldn't handle Dinklage. He'd break her spirit and leave her mooning after him for years on end. It's just be pathetic. Dinklage seems like the kinda guy who'd like his womens more experienced a Monica Bellucci. :P

I liked Speed Racer because it was, for whatever people thought about it, true to the source material. I dunno if you noticed or not but the cartoon kinda sucked too.

A Black Annie? so 21st Century . . . I LOVE IT!!!!!!SMASH, SHATTER, CRUMBLE, STAMP-OUT those old, old-world paradigms . . . now we need DENZEL WASHINGTON to play Jor-EL (Superman's Father) ---

Feb 16 - 07:47 AM

Valmordas

Val Mordas

Yeah and Superman's tagline changed to 'The Man who Steals'

Feb 16 - 09:01 PM

hey, that's Racial Profiling. Ohh that's Val writing, Val is from New Orleans THE SOUTH . . . The South tried succeeding from The United States of America primarily to continue enslaving Black People, The South (of which Val Mordas is indigenous) continues to reinforce racial prejudices and stereotypes in its children and greater citizenry overall. Denzel doesn't appear to be "The Man Who Steals" a thief. Its like, you're lumping all black people into a category of thief. // We see that racism and Prejudice are still glaringly apparent in this country.

yet, be that as it may, VAL MORDAS IS AWESOME!

Feb 17 - 06:08 AM

Valmordas

Val Mordas

It's not like stereotypes are just given out randomly, some of them are earned. That being said, no I don't believe all black people are thieves, it was a joke. Of course, in this country the only people you can poke fun at are whites and get away with it. If it's good for the goose....

Feb 17 - 08:28 AM

Dylan McIntosh

Dylan McIntosh

there is no doubt that rich white men are the most successful thieves...it will be nice when the punchline of racially stereotypical jokes is relected more on reality... examine if you will these examples "why don't you run over a black kid on a bike...could be your bike' vs 'why don't you put your money in the bank? the rich white dude living in the huge house on the swanky side of town is just going to take it then foreclose on your house" hahaahahha, that one is soooome funny...

Too bad Richard Pryor never realized his dream of playing Super-Nigga, mild-mannered janitor at the Daily Planet. Instead, he played Gus Gorman, whose only worthy contribution is inspiring the plot of OFFICE SPACE.

Your point being because age gaps has always been done for years! And with a little makeup can make Lawrence look older too! And even after all these years as well as her age Natalie Portman still looks like a teenager and still can play one too!

MAKE A MOVIE BASED ON THE FOLLOWING POEM:

ANTHEM1 FOR DOOMED YOUTH (annotated)

A

What passing-bells2 for these who die as cattle?

Only the monstrous anger of the guns.

Only the stuttering rifles' rapid rattle

Can patter out3 their hasty orisons.4

No mockeries5 now for them; no prayers nor bells;

Nor any voice of mourning save the choirs,

The shrill, demented6 choirs of wailing shells;

And bugles7 calling for them from sad shires.8

What candles9 may be held to speed them all?

Not in the hands of boys but in their eyes

Shall shine the holy glimmers of goodbyes.

The pallor10 of girls' brows shall be their pall;

Their flowers the tenderness of patient minds,

And each slow dusk11 a drawing-down of blinds.12

A
September - October, 1917

Notes for students
1 Anthem - perhaps best known in the expression "The National Anthem;" also, an important religious song (often expressing joy); here, perhaps, a solemn song of celebration
2 passing-bells - a bell tolled after someone's death to announce the death to the world
3 patter out - rapidly speak
4 orisons - prayers, here funeral prayers
5 mockeries - ceremonies which are insults. Here Owen seems to be suggesting that the Christian religion, with its loving God, can have nothing to do with the deaths of so many thousands of men
6 demented - raving mad
7 bugles - a bugle is played at military funerals (sounding the last post)
8 shires - English counties and countryside from which so many of the soldiers came
9 candles - church candles, or the candles lit in the room where a body lies in a coffin
10 pallor - paleness
11 dusk has a symbolic significance here
12 drawing-down of blinds - normally a preparation for night, but also, here, the tradition of drawing the blinds in a room where a dead person lies, as a sign to the world and as a mark of respect. The coming of night is like the drawing down of blinds.
