I would love to see this come to fruition, but I have a feeling that no one would love to see this happen more than Anderson and Duchovny. Both have taken career nose dives since the series ended. I saw a dog food commercial yesterday and Duchovny was narrating.

I'm all smiles at this news. I think that making the movie more standalone is a great idea. That way its not so dependent on all the stuff that happened in the last few seasons which I really wasn't a fan of. This way I can watch the movie and still pretend the show ended around the end of season 6 :oD

If Chris Carter is in a legal battle with Fox right now, then there's no way this is coming out before '08. Either way, I am excited. I really like the idea of using the stand-alone episodes for a basis of the 2nd movie, becuase I liked those a whole lot more than the "mythology" episodes.

Also, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson don't like eachother in real life? I've never heard that, and I have no idea how they could get the kind of on-camera chemistry they had with a negative working relationship.
