Xica's a beautiful black slave who toils away on a Brazilian plantation. Coerced into concubinage, she becomes mistress to the governor and his wayward son, both of whom are bewitched by her sexual prowess. Once Xica fully recognizes her influence over men, she seeks to improve her lot by manipulating the new magistrate from Portugal. She succeeds beautifully: captivated by her body, charmed by her favors, the Commander indulges Xica's every whim, even granting her freedom. But by cohabitating with the Commander, has she betrayed the underground rebellion and the only people who will truly accept her? [More]
