Yuk another XXX, Diesal and Cohen suck! The idea of a WATCHMEN sequal makes me sick and mad at the same time. Also I can picture Law as Watson, even though I dont really wanna see a kung fu fighting Sherlock Holmes. Also how come no mention that STEPHEN CHOW is going to direct and play Kato in THE GREEN HORNET?!?

I'm old enough to remember a few episodes of the green hornet, and Bruce Lee MADE that show. No one watched it to see Van Williams, at least not the kids in my Neighborhood. Mr. Chow has BIG shoes to fill. As far as XXX, I liked Vin, but it's a sequal too late. XXX2 was FUBAR due to Mr. Friday.
As far as Watchman...No comment.

Hmm, a sequel to Watchmen would only be palatable if Alan Moore wrote a followup that covered the last 20 years of masked vigilantes.

It won't happen...so NO!

Hark! At last the 'no corpse, not dead' rule comes to a screeching halt. How, indeed, does the rule matter when the franchise itself is dead?

suckit, apparently you've never seen find me guilty. he has his moments. xxx is def not one of them, and i agree. watchmen 2, i really care if they do, if they do and it's waste, well then that'll teach em. and i wish the rock would stop doing kid comedies. i mean like the guy and he's got something, it's just he hasn't found the right projects yet.

Calling a movie Tomorrowland can lead to endless possibilities. Just none involving the ride and attractions (unless they come to life). No, Space Mt. has no real story, just a theme.
As far as calling The Rock the next Fred McMurrey, need I remind you of Double Indemnity? He is good in family projects. He just needs the right one before he winds up like Tim Allen.

Why don't they just make a movie out of Walter Mosley's "Futureland"? Now that would be interesting.

A Watchmen sequel would stink because Rorschach and the Comedian would be gone.
And Ozymandias' servants. What would Watchmen be without those servants?

Heck, I even liked CJ-7 or whatever that film was called. . .

Wow, what Earth-shaking news. Can someone please give me another reason to stay away from the movies? I suppose George Lazenby will reprise his role as James Bond. What a box office draw that was? Too Fast, Too Furious, Too OLD!Anybody going to the movies to watch them cruise in their motorized wheelchairs? Dwayne Johnson going to Disney-did that with "Game Plan". Good going Rock; what's next? Voice-over for Pixar? Say hello to Mickey, Goofy, and Sandler when you get there. When will Hollywierd realize the best format for "super-hero" types will always be graphic novels? Anybody, honestly admits, to owning Ghostrider or Daredevil in their DVD collection? Have Vin Diesel talk with Jean Claude VanDam and how well rehashing the same old scripts/characters really helped keep his career going. You can shoot me,stab me, just don't bore me to death!

'I've made this remark before, but I'm at this point convinced that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has his sights set firmly on being the 21st century Fred MacMurray: a big lug of a guy who stars in an endless line of Disney and/or kiddie comedies.'

You're right on the mark there. Here's an interview he did with Entertainment Weekly where he talks about how he's trying to shape his career/public image by doing family movies:

As much as Watchmen has been read, its potential audience as a movie is far, far greater. The most read graphic novel pales in comparison to the number of people who will eventually see "Watchmen" if it is the hit it could be.

So, yeah... not cool to post spoilers here. I mean, technically, if all you've seen is the trailer, a person may not even know who those characters are, but still... ixnay on the oilerspay.

About me not posting the Green Hornet story... I would have (probably around #3), but I submitted at around Noon, and THR broke that story at around 3PM. Normally, by Noon on Friday, all the big stories of the week are out, it was unusual for Sony to release that story so late in the day/week, rather than waiting until Sunday night for the Monday morning paper.

Anyway, "Kung Fu Hustle" is a fun movie, and bodes well for the Green Hornet movie... if you haven't seen that one yet, it's highly recommended. "Kung Fu Hustle" is like a live action Looney Tunes gone all... Kung Fu. With Hustle.

Personally, I thought 'Shaolin Soccer' was far superior. ..And I was dating a girl steady at the time, so when I made her watch it she really didn't have a choice to ditch me after that-- I knew her parents, she knew mine, etc.

I am profoundly unimpressed with Vin Diesel and his career choices. I think the 3X franchise is about as mindless and unnecessary as any entertainment I've seen so far this decade. YES it got worse on the unbelievably stupid sequel, but the whole thing is some studio committee sitting around in a room theorizing what they think people want to see.

"No one wants to see James Bond anymore- we need to change the dynamic of the spy movie..."

...yeah. That's why the combined gross of the 3X franchise is less than 'Casino Royale'...

Dunno about all of you, but I'm bordering on giddy over the Robert Downey Jr. Sherlock Holmes. I think that movie's gonna ROCK.

Watchman 2- here's a hint: Take that money you're earmarking for that and a) piss in the ocean of Federal Bail-out debt or b) just give it to Christopher Nolan and John Favreau. For hookers, production materials on their franchises, ..WHATEVER they want.

Agreed. Just the thought of a Watchmen sequel reeks of gratuity. I was a little worried at first about Sherlock Holmes, truth be told, but with Downey Jr. in the titular role I definitely on board.

You lucked out with Shaolin Soccer, man. Me, I think due to my epic misadventure in judgment I am now immortally lodged in that girl's mind as an incredibly hopeless idiot. I deserve the distinction. Fung Fu Hustle, while it did have a few cool action scenes, is probably one of the stupidest movies I have ever seen. Certainly the worst film I've had a girl watch with me! Oh well, I've since moved on to better movies and move forgiving women.

If you watch the third XXX movie while sniffing glue, it'll be just like a Riddick sequel.

Not that I'd condone anything like that.

But it would be wonderful.

The movie is getting spit into two parts ala Kill Bill. There is no sequel you idiots, there is just one Watchmen film getting split into two parts because the scope of the novel cannot be squished into one feature film.

there is still a younger extreme sports, mountain dew chugging crowd that will get a kick out of a new xXx, and same for Fast and Furious. Vin Diesel is okay with me if he STOPS TRYING to act and just becomes a Van Damme / Seagal action star, which I think would be fine. I liked him in Pitch Black and xXx and he was in his niche. also stop doing retarded sci-fi.

watchmen is one book. thats it. a 3 hour movie. THATS IT. if you took the pictures of out watchmen, there would be a screenplay for ONE F***ING MOVIE.
