They compose "Yankee Doodle Dandy," march with George Washington's troops, get Paul Revere out of bed in time to warn everyone about the British, and even aid Thomas Jefferson in the writing of the Declaration of Independence. It's hard to imagine that American history could be made so merry, but it has; maverick "looney-tune" director Chuck Jones shoots this patriotic firecracker high into the stratosphere. Kids will find plenty to cheer and laugh about as they learn an important history lesson or two.
