Rock-bottom expectations are rewarded, sort of, in this update of Hanna-Barbera's necktied ursus.
He-ey, look at that Booboo! We got a fresh one!

Funny how this rates a 'fresh', though . . . the column reads as though she feels she just wasted part of her day having to watch this, and she barely acknowledges any virtues over the clear struggle she seems to have had in having to waste another ten minutes writing about it. Sort of an, 'It sucks as much as you think it will, but okay, fine, it's got some good moral messages for the kiddies', concession that makes you think it would be better to spend twenty minutes at home with one episode of the old cartoon, and save yourself the 50 bucks this thing would cost you for a family outing.

So this negative review gets a positive? Sort of like "Yes, this is the POS you were expecting..YAY!" Usually the movies start off with a good rating then drop off as more reviews come in. This one is going to be a little harder to put a positive spin on for RT than usual, but give them points for trying.

Isn't this a negative review? Seems like it. Change it to rotten!

It's an update to Hannah Barbera's already shitty classic cartoon. I wonder how terrible that Smurfs movie is going to be.
Dec 15 - 02:25 PM
Oh please, I refuse to watch that Smurf movie.
Dec 15 - 03:46 PM
You don't have to watch it, the original show already sucked balls.

Is it even worth mentioning again that it's the critic that decides whether a review is tagged as fresh or rotten?
Dec 15 - 03:34 PM
I knew this movie wouldn't be great after watching the trailer, I'm probably gonna get it on Netflix and agree with this review.
Dec 15 - 03:45 PM
Aha, you expected the movie to be really shitty, and that is what it was.
