Two may be company, but three is more than anyone counted on in this outrageous comedy from Russia. Timofei (Evgeny Koryakovsky) is a successful advertising executive based in Moscow who is involved in a satisfying relationship with Vera (Lyubov Tolkalina), the host of a television news show; however, their relationship takes an unexpected turn when one night Timofei runs into Uloomji (Damir Badmaev), an attractive young man of Kalmyk descent, with his car. Timofei finds himself strongly

The fault lies in an anemic script and misguided attempts by co-directors Olga Stolpovskaya and Dmitry Troitsky to seem hip by using lots of quick cuts.
The film comes off as little more than a shock-value exercise.
To say the epilogue strains credibility is a kindness. The filmmakers seem set on a happy ending, no matter what the story itself is telling them.
A clumsily drawn, poorly acted love triangle.
Wavers between would-be satire and romantic drama, inhabiting neither mode convincingly.
The film starts as an entertaining postmodern take on bedroom farce but quickly becomes the kind of sprawling, unpredictable and sexually charged tale associated with Pedro Almodóvar, but without the storytelling discipline.
Sizzling premise loses steam
shows us a Russia we don't often get to see
Stolpovskaya's story of bisexual desire does not hold up its narrative end.
The movie's choppy MTV-style edits seem to be covering up a lack of focus in the characters' motivations.
It's certainly no surprise that the best apology Timofei can manage for the heartbroken Vera involves repeating lines from a bad television soap opera.
None of the performers leaves much of an impression...and the stylistic tricks, while visually interesting, aren't enough to compensate.
...like an implausible, superficial knock-off of a Pedro Amolodovar flick.
Rather trite and passe, not to mention overwrought and narratively chaotic...this is one 'Love' that's easy to resist.
The whole thing has a dour resolve that undermines its attempts at humor.
The characters are likeable so you don't mind following them on their adventures, even when the destination isn't exactly clear.
A magically queer and romantic love triangle from of all places, Russia. Damir Badmajew is ADORABLE!!
