Young & Beautiful (Jeune Et Jolie) (2014)
Critic Consensus: Ozon may not explore his themes as fully as he should, but Young & Beautiful poses enough intriguing questions -- and features a strong enough performance from Marine Vacth -- to compensate for its frustrations.

Critic Reviews for Young & Beautiful (Jeune Et Jolie)
It became clear, as the movie wore on, that Ozon isn't interested in explanations, psychological insights, lessons, judgments, diagnoses, or any of the other stuff that normally preoccupies storytellers.
Prostitution in polite society is still a nettle fearfully grasped. You see, society is not polite and it's about time movies stopped peddling that fluff.
Ozon keeps things simmering without quite boiling over, even when convention might demand it.
Audience Reviews for Young & Beautiful (Jeune Et Jolie)
Marine Vacht gives shape to an enigmatic character that remains fascinating during the whole time even if we don't understand what drives her to act and behave the way she does - which makes for an engaging viewing despite the fact that she never opens up to us.
Ozon has produced another masterpiece. Although deeply troubling in its storyline, the characters leap off the screen and make a deep connection with you. It's challenging but worth taking in.
Unusually straightforward film from Ozon, but a gripping one with a nicely underplayed central performance.
