When he is finally freed and allowed to enter society, the naive and sheltered man, Anirudh, encounters a world of unimaginable beauty, as well as pain and cynicism. Among the characters he interacts with are Jackie Shroff, a headstrong and impulsive young man; the glamorous and fragile starlet Manisha Koirala; and several relatives, who will do anything in their insatiable quest for monetary gains.
