Synopsis: Young Chris Carlyle has taken care of a pet wildcat ever since the animal was a cub. But now, Chris and his family are leaving their farm and moving to the big city... and the boy's parents won't... Young Chris Carlyle has taken care of a pet wildcat ever since the animal was a cub. But now, Chris and his family are leaving their farm and moving to the big city... and the boy's parents won't allow him to keep his beloved feline companion with them in their new home. The heartbroken and reluctant Chris finally turns the cat over to the zoo. Although all the animals are treated well by Dr. Del Hartwood and his caring assistants, the zoo's facilities are outdated and inadequate for the large number of creatures there. Meanwhile, Del's requests for more financial help from the city council continue to fall on deaf ears. Upset at the animals' plight, Chris unlocks their cages and lets them run loose through the city streets. Hilarious confusion ensues until the situation is eventually brought under control. [More]
