Synopsis: Based on a serial novel by Judith Hermann, the film's five episodes are set in five countries: Ellen (Maria Simon) and Felix (August Diehl) are travelling in the USA, where their relationship seems to have reached its end; Caro (Karina Plachetka) falls in love with the new boyfriend Raoul (Stipe Erceg) of her friend Ruth (Chiara Schoras) in Germany; Christine (Brigitte Hobmeier) visits Nora (Jessica Schwarz) in Jamaica and disturbs their host Kasper (Janek Rieke); Jonas (Wotan Wilke Möhring) and Irene (Ina Weisse) visit the couple Jonina (Sólveig Arnarsdóttir) and Magnus (Valur Freyr Einarsson) in Island, whose relationship has run around; And Marion (Fritzi Haberlandt) visits her parents (Christine Schorn and Walter Kreye) in Venice, in a futile attempt to finally grow up.
