SWINGERS follows insecure Mike and smooth-talking Trent, two retro-hip showbiz wanna-bes, as they make the scene at various clubs in Hollywood and Vegas. During their martini-fueled odyssey, the duo and their buddies explore an altogether new vernacular while struggling with images of machismo, self-esteem, relationships, and, of course, sex. Lead actor Jon Favreau based the script on his and his friends' real-life Tinseltown adventures. [More]

Reviews for Swingers
Liman and Favreau concoct a consciously derivative world for these guys, and though it's appropriate to the movie, I got tired of it after a while.
Directed in flair by Doug Liman, with winning performances from Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn, this comedy is the most successful since Diner of what could be described as a cycle of "walking and talking" and "hanging out" pictures.
This exercise in indie hipster cool is 'money'--and that's no joke, baby.
Blessed with a brilliantly quotable screenplay, one of the most electric and insightful ever written.
The first and best outing from Favreau and Vaughan. Trendy, but hilarious. VEGAS, BABY - VEGAS!
Rarely has the American male been portrayed more accurately… or with funnier results.
One of those very rare movies where you really come out a changed, happier person -- at least for awhile. Hey, maybe I'm money, and I don't even know it!
