Reviews
The Lost World is like painting by numbers -- you get something that looks pretty good, but there's no creativity in getting there.
'm certain the fault lies in me, not Spielberg. I'm sure he doesn't care what I think, he still gets to keep the money.
If you liked Jurassic Park, you’ll probably like this one a little less. What the first film did poorly, this film does worse.
The story, it must be said, is no great shakes, although it's not half bad by action-movie standards. But the action -- that's why we go see movies like this -- is terrific.
Almost awesome in its up-close encounter with wild and very dangerous dinosaurs.
The Lost World has the vibe of 'obligatory sequel,' just what director Steven Spielberg probably wanted to avoid.
Spielberg amply delivers the goods with...The Lost World: Jurassic Park, a beautifully crafted series of nightmarish set pieces with no other goal in mind than to scare and delight the audience.
The Lost World is as close to critic-proof as you can get in the movie business.
Special effects demand dino closeups, but the technical miracles seem sadly mundane.
If Jurassic Park reminds us of the magic Hollywood is capable of, The Lost World shows us how quickly we get bored.
The Lost World is a tremendously enjoyable action adventure.
