Synopsis: Kevin (LANCE BASS) has everything going for him, but his lifelong lack of confidence keeps him from recognizing love and happiness - even if it's sitting next to him. When Kevin meets the girl of his dreams, Abbey, on Chicago's "L" train,... Kevin (LANCE BASS) has everything going for him, but his lifelong lack of confidence keeps him from recognizing love and happiness - even if it's sitting next to him. When Kevin meets the girl of his dreams, Abbey, on Chicago's "L" train, they connect immediately but he lets this golden opportunity slip away by not having the courage to ask her for her name and number.

Unable to find her, or forget her, Kevin and his buddies launch a massive campaign to locate Abbey. In the process he becomes Chicago’s poster boy for lost love and the target of every young woman’s affections. But the fates that brought Kevin and Abbey together on the "L" seem determined to reunite them, revealing that love will give you a second chance if you're willing to put yourself ON THE LINE.

LANCE BASS and JOEY FATONE of N'Sync fame star in ON THE LINE - their feature film debut. ON THE LINE was directed by Eric Bross (Stranger Than Fiction, Restaurant) and was produced by Peter Abrams and Robert Levy for Tapestry Films - the team that brought you She's All That - along with Lance Bass' own production company A Happy Place and partners Wendy Thorlakson and Rich Hull. -- ©2001 Miramax [More]

This movie is so loopy and simplistic, you question the inspiration behind such a sappy farce.

For his character being such a die-hard Cubs fan, [Lance] Bass throws a baseball like an 8-year-old girl.

Plays like a Freddie Prinze Jr. movie without Freddie Prinze Jr. And wouldn't you know, that turns out to be a good thing.

An innocuous romantic comedy about missed connections, like Serendipity for people who can't vote yet.

The film delivers on its admittedly modest mission -- to painlessly effect a pop star's transition to movie actor -- despite being not very subtle.
