Josiah's Cannon or Rush Hour 3 for Brett Ratner's Next
During a chat with Empire Online, Brett Ratner, the director of the "Rush Hour" films and "After the Sunset," revealed that his next film may be either "Josiah's Cannon" or "Rush Hour 3." "You gotta have three or four projects and whichever one comes in first, or better, that's the one you're going to do," he says.
"Josiah's Cannon" is a heist movie about a Holocaust survivor out to steal some ex-Nazi gold from a Swiss bank. Sean Connery was previously attached to star before dropping out of the project to work on his autobiography. Unless Ratner finds a replacement for Connery, he may have to move on to "Rush Hour 3" because the movie "seems to be coming together pretty fast." The third Rush Hour will take place in New York and Paris, he reveals. The "Rush Hour" movies are fish-out-of-water action comedies where two mismatched law enforcement officers, played by Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan, team up to bring criminals to justice.

on Nov 24 2004 03:35 PM Rush Hour 3! Please. After seeing the crap that is Around the World in 80 Days and The Medallion. I really appreciate the Rush Hour films. Besides, Jackie needs a hit here pretty badly. Personally, I like the Shanghai Noon series more, but Rush Hour 3 will probably be a bigger hit. (Reply to this) |
on Nov 28 2004 11:39 AM I would love to see another Rush Hour movie. I liked the first two very much, as they were a good take on the buddy cop flicks. So I hope Ratner will do this one first. (Reply to this) |

on Nov 29 2004 10:08 AM Brett Ratner... ...couldn't direct traffic. He's seriously one of the worse directors working in Hollywood or anywhere else. (Reply to this) |
