Newsweek Visits King Kong Set
Newsweek was the first to visit the set of Peter Jackson's "King Kong," and it sounds like the movie looks promising, even in its early stages. Newsweek speaks with members of the cast and crew, views a scene with Jack Black, Naomi Watts, and Kyle Chandler, and even gets to see an "animatic" of the last several minutes of the movie. "King Kong" is scheduled for a Dec. 14th 2005 release.

Check out www.kongisking.net for lots of updates and stuff. I just spent an hour watching video footage from the set. Good stuff. Jackson knows how to treat the movie freekz. RitterRed writes: on Nov 30 2004 05:43 AM I must say, I was quite skeptical when I saw who Jackson had selected to star in this. Watts is fine, no doubt, but Jack Black? Adrien Brody? It looked like things were starting off badly for this re-make; yet, as it progresses, and I see where Jackson's taking the film, my hopes have been renewed. I'm still uncertain about Brody, but certainly Jackson is putting a lot of heart into the film's overall themes, and that should make for an especially exciting and powerful revision.
