The Hollywood Reporter delivers the first casting news from Paramount's upcoming live-action remake of the classic "Charlotte's Web." [Dakota Fanning ("Man of Fire"Wink will play the young girl who teams with a spider named Charlotte to rescue a pig named Wilbur from the butcher's block. - Ed] Fans of E.B. White's beloved tale and the subsequent animated adaptation from 1973 will keep their fingers crossed for director Gary Winick ("13 Going On 30," "Tadpole"Wink and screenwriters Susannah Grant ("Ever After," "Erin Brockovich"Wink & Karey Kirkpatrick ("Chicken Run," "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"Wink. Production is set to begin in Australia in January, 2005.
