Fangoria recently had a chat with director / screenwriter/ Stephen King adapterer Frank Darabont ("The Shawshank Redemption," "The Green Mile" about when we'd FINALLY get to see that big-screen adaptation of "The Mist" that's long been a pet project of the filmmaker's. "I am at this very moment writing the adaptation of THE MIST...Depending on a few factors, it may well be the next movie I direct, possibly next year...Finally, my low-budget monster flick! And no, it will not be for television. There's been some confusion out there in geek land about that." Stephen King's 'The Mist' is a fantastic little consumers-trapped-in- a -supermarket-by-Lovecraftian-beasties tale that could absolutely make one for great monster movie.
