Natalie Portman is rumored to be involved with the cinematic treatment of Alan Moore's "V for Vendetta," according to IGN FilmForce. The film is to be directed by James McTeigue, who worked as first assistant Director on "Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith," in which Portman stars. Joel Silver will produce the film, which was adapted for the screen by the Wachowski Brothers.

Portman has got to be my favorite celebrity of the year. She stole the show in both GARDEN STATE and CLOSER, which are two of my very favorite films of the year. I'm dying for more from her. I don't know what this movie is about, but I'll likely be seeing it if she's involved.

This sucks already. Portman is too old. The Portman of Leon might have worked. One vital scene has her seduce a pedophile. Unless they use CGI's to minimize her assets, it won't work. If they change the setting from the UK to the USA I will never bother seeing it. They should have a British director shoot it too. Not a virgin 1st AD! At least the extras will be well directed.
