V for Vendetta Poster Online

A poster image for the upcoming screen adaptation of Alan Moore's "V for Vendetta" is available at ComingSoon.net. The film, which will be produced by "Matrix" creators the Wachowski brothers and producer Joel Silver, is set to star Natalie Portman. James McTeigue, the first assistant director on the "Matrix" films, will direct. The film is slated for a fall 2005 release.

League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.... shudder what a totally stuffed adaptation that was.
The intricate Elizabethian satire that made the comics so enjoyable was totally abandoned. To name one of it's multitude of problems.

I can only hope this one isn't as bad.

Is V for Vendetta & the makers of the Matrix a good fit? I'm not sure.
