Peter Jackson to Roll the Bones

"Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson will tackle Alice Sebold's novel "The Lovely Bones" with co-writer Philippa Boyans, according to Ain't It Cool News. The project will be undertaken after Jackson finishes work on "King Kong." The story involves a woman who has been raped and murdered, and who observes her family and friends from heaven as they deal with the aftermath of her death.

May be good to screen
To tell the truth, I'm not so inspired this acclaimed novel, maybe translation is the reason!
It might be good to see it on screen!

First Last

Hmmm. It'll be interesting to see his take on this book, though I think it's safe to say - prepare for some grim viewing. Then again, I actually prefer Jackson when he is dealing with that grim kind of material (like "Heavenly Cratures") than when he is doing his big, special effects blockbusters.
