Universal Pictures will launch Steven Spielberg's as-yet untitled film about the 1972 Munich Summer Olympics on Dec. 23rd, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Spielberg plans to film the project during the summer. The film was postponed after Spielberg asked Tony Kushner to do a rewrite of the script, and then launched into his remake of "War of the Worlds."

Another draft of the script was just finished, and Ford, Spielberg, and (unfortunately) Lucas have to review it.

Don't bet on this getting made any time soon, let alone at all.

Sucks, don't it?
