Brad Pitt to Play Himself
by RT Staff | February 16, 2005
Discuss Article
Sony has bought a pitch by Steve Conrad with hopes of developing the pic into a starring vehicle for Brad Pitt, according to Variety. Set in the late '80s and titled "Chad Schmidt," the movie will star Brad Pitt as an aspiring actor who bears an uncanny resemblance to Brad Pitt. His career languishes at the same time Pitt's takes off. Brad Pitt will be co-starring with Angelina Jolie in the forthcoming movie, "Mr. and Mrs. Smith."

This actually sounds kind of funny. At least, the concept does.

It could work...
...it has a kind of Being John Malkovich feel. It could be pretty cool. Here's hoping.

Yeah, it does have that Being John Malkovich thing going. It's interesting to see what happens what happens if Being John Malkovich featured a more mainstream actor like Brad Pitt. Sounds like a interesting film with lots of comic possibilities.
