Screenwriter Michael Werb Talks "Tekken" and "Face/Off 2"
by RT Staff | February 28, 2005
Discuss Article
Screenwriter Michael Werb spoke with Screenwriting Magazine about the "Tekken" movie and a possible "Face/Off" sequel, Dark Horizons reports. Werb said Brian White is in talks to play the lead role. "You get guys like White, and whoever else, and suddenly you've got people that look like they belong in the world." However, since the movie is based on a videogame, the movie needs "more than effects and skirmishes on screen to hold an audience." As for "Face/Off 2," he said he had talked with John Woo about it. It won't be a direct sequel, but one, maybe, with two female leads going after one another.

Face/Off Sequel
Oh please don't ruin the movie Face/Off by making a sequel. I hate when this happens. Without Travolta and Cage, I can't even imagine face/off. I hated when Son of The Mask and Dumb and Dumberer were made. They were terrible because they didn't have Jim Carrey.

Dumb and Dumberer was the worst film I've seen that year. I wanted to punch the writer and director after watching the film. The jokes were more insulting than funny. It was definitely not funny.

Another video game being made into a movie. "BIG YAWN". And a possible sequel to Face/Off? The end is near.

I love how they always choose the videogames that have next to no plot whatsoever to make movies out of. And they're always really awul. and as for Face/off 2.... god help us all.

Face/Off is perfectly fine as is. Whether there's a sequel with different characters or prequel with the same actors, it'll just ruin it for those of us who love the original (only).
