Big Momma's House 2 to Begin Production on April 12
by Scott Weinberg | March 01, 2005

Production Weekly brings us the wonderful news that "Big Momma's House 2" is all set to begin production in mid-April. Replacing Raja Gosnell in the director's chair is John Whitesell, the filmmaker behind "See Spot Run" and "America's Most Wanted." Actor Martin Lawrence and screenwriter Don Rhymer are back on board ... but no word on whether or not Paul Giamatti will reprise his role from the original. (Ha.)

I assume the 'wonderful' part of 'brings us the wonderful news' is meant to be sarcastic.
