I believe it. The theatre I was at didn't have an empty seat. Too bad the film was something left to be desired.

This movie was done by a different director. The old director is currently filming Pirates of the Carribean 2 and 3. He didn't wat to make a sequel for the Ring anyway. But if he wanted to he would have made the movie twice as horrifying as the first one. This sequel was depended on, to be quite as scary or even scarier as the first movie. But it was below that, as you can see, the movie is considered rotten but MANY people went to see it.

Wow... 'Ring Two' really is getting a bad wrap with the critics - but I still can't help but be drawn into watching it!! It's like I know I'm gonna be wasting my money but for some reason i can't seem to care.

Maybe that's the curse for seeing the movie, you get sucked in and then instead of dying just feel really crap after?!?!

Was this the sequel to The Ring? It was so stupid and laughable, I thought I was watching Scary Movie 4! It had like one good part, If it wasnt so funny I would of been pissed. "Im not your fucking mommy!" haha, what a punch line.

Is my memory playing tricks to me or that "I'm not your fucking mommy!!" line is taken from the original "Dark water", also directed by Nakata ?! By the way, THAT is a good movie. I don't know what the hell Nakata is doing in Hollywood losing time and reputation with mediocre scripts... (oh, yeah, must be the money...). I'd like the US version of "Dark water" to be released asap ! Just to see if they did a good job as happened with Ringu-The Ring. That is the only example I can think of of an excellent foreign film being remade in the US to an almost equally great version.
