Fox Finds Director for "Garfield 2"
Variety shares some sequel news that should come as little surprise: filmmaker Tim Hill ("Muppets from Space," "Max Keeble's Big Move"
has been hired to direct the just-announced sequel to last summer's "Garfield." The comic strip feline's first cinematic adventure grossed just under $200 million worldwide. No word yet on if Breckin Meyer, Jennifer Love Hewitt, or Bill Murray will be reprising their roles from Part 1.

renodc writes: on Apr 08 2005 11:54 AM The first one was virtually unwatchable. Unfortunately, Americans, which I'm ashamed to say includes me, have shelled out over $80 million (Box Office and Video) on Garfield the Movie, so it's really not a shock to hear a follow-up is in the works. I'm just very ashamed to be one of the Americans that spent money on this piece of crap, which makes me partially responsible for there being a potential Garfield 2. Forgive Me! (Reply to this) |
