"Arrested" Gang Leaps From Network to Features
A healthy handful of the "Arrested Development" gang are set to work with Universal Pictures on an as-yet-untitled comedy. Directors Joe & Anthony Russo, writer Chuck Martin, producer Brian Grazer, and actor Will Arnett will craft a comedy about a loser who unloads a pack of elaborate lies at his high school reunion, only to try and keep his stories spinning after he returns home. The ink is barely dry on the contracts, so watch this space for further developments, including new cast members, production date, and (of course) the movie's title.

hblink99 writes: on Apr 24 2005 04:39 PM There is no fact. Arrested Development is up for renewal in a few weeks, then it'll be a fact. I did hear somewhere that David Cross said they had stopped production on the show, which would mean FOX has already decided to cancle it...which would make that stupid www.getarrested.com thing make sense. There's no way FOX or any TV network would ever seriously do something like that. The ratings for the show actually dropped during the second season and it's very unlikely the show will come back to FOX for it's third. (Reply to this) |
