Serenity Comic to Bridge Gap Between TV and Screen

Summary

In the months before the September release of Joss Whedon's "Serenity," Dark Horse Comics is helping fill in just what happened in the six months since the last events of the original TV show "Firefly" and the events of the big screen movie. A three-issue miniseries, written by creator Joss Whedon and "Firefly" writer Brett Matthews and featuring art by Will Conrad, along with covers by some of today's hottest artists, hits the shelves on July 6th. I absolutely can't wait to see the film. I've missed both of the previews, but I'm looking more forward to the finished product anyway. We need new blood on the big screen to fill the sci-fi void left behind now that the Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Star Trek film franchises are over. Since Babylon 5 doesn't seem to be stepping up to the plate, I'm thrilled to see Joss Whedon take the reigns with the show that should've lasted so much longer on FOX but didn't. FOX will be eating crow when they see how successful this will be.
