Milian and Bell Feel the "Pulse"

Variety reports that pop star Christina Milian ("Be Cool") and actress Kristen Bell ("Spartan") have signed on to appear in the Weinstein Company horror flick "Pulse." A remake of the Japanese horror movie "Kairo," "Pulse" begins shooting in Romania later this month with first-timer Jim Sonzero at the directorial helm.

Wes Craven ("Scream") and Ray Wright adapted the original film into "Americanized" form, which is described as such: "Plot surrounds a Web site powered by a sinister force. As more users go to the site, a door to terrifying evil is opened, and some college kids witness a string of bizarre deaths among their classmates."

First Last

Actually, when I first saw Fear.com I thought "man, what a rip off of Kairo". Kairo (Pulse) was first, and is much better.

Don't really care which came first...as long as my beloved Kristen Bell is in it, I am there...

end the Hollywood bastardization of fine foreign films! DO not support Hollywood remakes of films that are only a few years old (and perfect the first time!)

DO not support: Dark Water, The Departed (INfernal Affairs -Japanese title), Chaos, Pulse and others. This has got to stop. See the original films. Support international cinema and the exchange of art across cultures.
