Rorsky writes: on Jun 09 2005 07:36 AM Ewwwwwwwww Wow! The whiny, self righteous musical that spurned a generation of blond highlights and watered down rockers comes to the big screen. The trailer is laughable with a line of actors singing "Seasons of Love" like the hipster equivalent of an amusement park quartet. Adam Pascal has one of the most annoying voices EVER! It was only appropriate in SCHOOL OF ROCK, as the lead singer of a LAME rock band. Oh, and it's directed by Chris "Stepmom" Columbus so you know it will be as edgy as an eyebrow ring on a teddy bear. CtotheODY writes: on Jun 17 2005 02:30 PM A The movie looks very good as well, expecially for a musical turned movie. The fact that the director even took on such a challenge knows that he has the integrity to keep the rawness of the film. The reason why the actors were standing in a line singing "Seasons of Love" is because they wanted to keep the true essence of the musical, and this specific scene was in it. See some theatre, get cultured, see the movie, and then respond. (Reply to this) |
