Trailer Bulletin: The Aristocrats
Head over to the Apple Quicktime Trailer Page for a look at the trailer to the upcoming comedy documentary "The Aristocrats." Having seen the movie at Sundance earlier this year, I can offer the opinion that this flick is absolutely drop-dead hilarious. But don't just take my word for it; the massive cast of comedians more than speaks for itself!
An absolute love letter to the fine of of profane comedy, "The Aristocrats" features contributions by Jason Alexander, Hank Azaria, Lewis Black, Drew Carey, George Carlin, Billy Connolly, Andy Dick, Phyllis Diller, Carrie Fisher, Whoopi Goldberg, Gilbert Gottfried, Eric Idle, Dom Irrera, Eddie Izzard, Richard Jeni, Jake Johannsen, Richard Lewis, Bill Maher, Howie Mandel, Jackie Martling, Michael McKean, Larry Miller, Martin Mull, Kevin Nealon, Taylor Negron, Rick Overton, Trey Parker, Emo Philips, Kevin Pollak, Paul Reiser, Don Rickles, Chris Rock, Rita Rudner, Bob Saget, Harry Shearer, Sarah Silverman, Bobby Slayton, Jon Stewart, Matt Stone, Rip Taylor, Dave Thomas, Fred Willard, Robin Williams, Steven Wright, and about three dozen others!
Co-directed by Penn Jillette and Paul Provenza, "The Aristocrats" is bound to court as much controversy as it does elicit peals of appreciative giggles.

on Jul 05 2005 12:07 PM what the %&$*??? all these potty mouthed comedians make me long for the days when bill cosby was the king of stand up. now days i'd prefer the dumb simplicity of blue collar comedy to all this profanity. (Reply to this) |

on Jul 05 2005 03:55 PM It's worth seeing. I had a chance to see The Aristocrats at a special screening when I was in California. As a follower of stand-up comedy, I found it interesting. As a movie-goer, I laughed my ass off. Must see for fans of the art of stand-up. But if you prefer dumb and simple, I hear Cosby's holding another press conference with his sunglasses on. on Jul 16 2005 08:14 AM Personally I hate speeches about the good ol' days. Even when Cosby was doing his thing there were plenty of foul mouth comidiens doing theirs. And there are still plenty of good clean comidiens doing theirs today too. Madman (Reply to this) |
