Trailer Bulletin: The Exorcism of Emily Rose
Head on over to the film's official site for your first look at the trailer to "The Exorcism of Emily Rose." The supernatural horror flick is directed by Scott Derrickson ("Hellraiser: Inferno") and written by Derrickson and frequent collaborator Paul Harris Boardman ("Urban Legends: Final Cut").
Adding some welcome class to any Satan-strewn affair are veteran actors like Laura Linney ("Kinsey"), Tom Wilkinson ("Batman Begins"), Colm Feore ("Paycheck"), Shohreh Aghdashloo ("House of Sand and Fog"), and Campbell Scott ("Roger Dodger").
Relative newcomer Jennifer Carpenter plays the title role, although you might recognize the gal from small turns in "D.E.B.S." and "White Chicks."
September 9th is when you'll be able to witness the "Exorcism."

on Jul 08 2005 10:01 AM hmmm.... could have sworn that I have seen this movie about eight times now. Guess that didn't stop them from making it again. (Reply to this) |

on Jul 10 2005 08:34 PM I was terribly disappointed when I saw the trailer. Emily Rose was starved to death by priests trying to "exorcise" non-existent demons. In the movie, they decided to make the demons real, which means the priests weren't murderers after all. (Reply to this) |

on Jul 11 2005 12:51 PM Judging a book by it's cover? I saw the trailer and it looked great and looked like the plot was about Exocism not a remake of The Exorcist. Lets all face it, when a book is made into a movie it will never religously follow the book. It's a sad fact. Fans of the books based on Constantine are still whining to this day. (Reply to this) |

on Aug 26 2005 03:31 PM In reply to this comment (#824063) RE "Emily Rose was starved to death by priests trying to "exorcise" non-existent demons." That is your own personal opinion and there is no way to prove that you are actually correct. She may have been posssessed.. or she could have had possible the worst cause of Epileptic Psychocis in history. And remember 2 things. 1. this movie is about a trial, and different scenes are presented from both the priests perspective and the doctor's perspectives, but they are trying to market this as a horror film so logically they would show scenes with demons and other crazy happenings and not a girl having seizures..
